NEW: Naturopathy Workshops
As genuine ‘health educators’, Laura and Audrey have decided to share their knowledge of the human body. Naturopathy can be defined as a set of therapeutic methods which encourage the self-healing process of the body. The workshops explore different themes to do with health. Every first Tuesday of the month, from 7pm to 10pm in the ‘les Petits Sablés’ tea room in the village centre. €30/person, dinner included.
This Japanese therapy uses touch to restore balance within the body and thus promote health – it’s perfect after physical activity or at the start of a holiday. Shiatsu provides a deep relaxation of the body and mind, as well as a powerful loosening of muscles and joints. The practice involves rhythmic pressure, stretching and more gentle manoeuvres all over the body. Deriving from traditional Chinese medicine, Shiatsu is a true ally in combating numerous disorders (stress, anxiety, chronic diseases, insomnia, etc.). Teacher Stéphanie is a graduate from the Therapeutic Shiatsu School of Paris. The session lasts around one hour. €70 adults / €50 children.

NEW: Lulu’s Heritage Visits
Lucie Bartholomé (affectionately known as ‘Lulu’) is passionate about stories from the past and has created heritage visits and treasure hunts in Les Gets, which reveal some of the village’s secrets. They include a guided walk with Sylvain, an actor and an artist, on a dramatized walk called ‘sur la piste de Raymond Moudon’, which takes place on the slope of the mythical Mont Chéry. Participants will go back 1000 years in the history of Les Gets, to a time when the village was at the crossroads of rival territories between Le Chablais and Faucigny. The walk also retraces key moments such as the blossoming of mechanical music, the life of the illustrious botanist Père Jean-Marie Delavay, the creation of the village church, agro-pastoral traditions and the development of tourism in the early 20th century. Booking required at the Tourist Office.
